Advocacy and communications provides leadership to the organisation through the Chief Executive Officer and is responsible for ensuring that Council policies and protocols are followed.
Advocacy undertakes various activities to influence government decisions on public policy and resource allocation. They coordinate media campaigns, make submissions to government departments, and foster relationships with partner agencies to support our community’s interests and priorities.
Marketing and Communications develops and implements communication strategies for a wide range of projects. They are responsible for promoting the City of Whittlesea as a great place to live, work, invest and visit. They also ensure our residents, businesses, government authorities, strategic partners and staff are informed about important Council events, services, programs and initiatives.
Resilience and Emergency Management plans for and responds to an emergency affecting our community or organisation. They take a holistic approach to the ongoing management of policies and procedures including the Municipal Emergency Management Framework, Pandemic Plan, Heatwave Plan and Business Continuity Plan.
