The City of Whittlesea’s procurement staff provide information, support and expert advice on purchasing, contracting and tendering for Council. Our revenue services team provide information and support to Council for all aspects of revenue raising and management including debtors and rates. Our accounting officers are responsible for accounts payable and the management of creditor payments and database systems.

Our property and valuations team conduct property valuations on a range of industrial, commercial and private properties across the municipality.

Key projects

A key project you could find yourself working on in our finance department is the development of electronic systems, such as payment systems for local residents accessing Council services.

Key projects you could be working on in valuations include using state-of-the-art statistics programs and GPS-based valuations systems for on-the-road use. You may even use a video mapping system that obtains footage of properties via a mobile digital camera fixed to a street sweeper – an invention of the City of Whittlesea.
