Our City Marketing department uses the latest in communication and marketing concepts and mediums to develop and implement innovative communication strategies for a diverse range of projects. We are responsible for promoting the City of Whittlesea as a great place to live, work, invest and visit. We are also responsible for ensuring our residents, businesses, government authorities, strategic partners and staff are informed and engaged on relevant issues, as well as aware of important Council events, services, programs or initiatives.

Some of the key functions of the City Marketing department include:

  • issue and reputation management;
  • the production of Council publications;
  • media liaison;
  • multicultural communication strategy;
  • brand strategy;
  • cooperative marketing and sponsorship with private sector partners;
  • website development and various online communications;
  • advocacy and community consultation support; and
  • advertising and publicity.

Key projects

Some of the key projects that the you may find yourself working on include marketing our facilities such as the Growling Frog Golf Course and Restaurant, leisure centre redevelopments, advocacy campaigns, environmental, health or local laws education campaigns, branding of leisure centres, event marketing such as our Whittlesea Country Music Festival, or our employment, business and investment attraction strategies.
